Cristina Pupusería
La pupusa, Salvadoran snack any time of day and anywhere in the country every visitor should enjoy, especially in Joy.
One option in Usulutan is the pupusería Cristina, where you will find delicious pupusas to the order of three per $1.00 USD, a very economical alternative and convenient for tourists visiting Joy.
You can taste them with cheese, bean and cheese, pork or the popular pumpkin (a kind of pumpkin). It should be noted that the preparation of bean has a proprietary process for the eastern: cooked in a clay pot black and firewood.
You visit Alegría, approach the Pupusería Cristina and will be run by its owners, who by family tradition serve their customers in a friendly and smiling, characteristic of the locals of the village.

Towards Joy:
If you drive by car from San Salvador should take the Coastal Highway (CA-2) towards the airport of Comalapa. Should be guided by the signs that indicate the diversions to Usulutan. Then you pass the Golden Bridge, should seek Usulutan By-Pass which will lead the people of Santiago de Maria and then to Joy.
Route buses:
From San Salvador to Usulutan: Route 302. Ticket cost $1.50 USD. Then you must take Route 348 with path to Joy. Cost of passage $0.35 USD. You can address it in the town of Santiago de María or Berlin.
In the village:
Address: located on 4th Avenue South and passage Grimaldi.
It can take as reference the central park and St. Peter the Apostle Church. Must pass two streets after the temple and then cross to the right. Be down to a sloping street. The house is a corner and is labeled.
If you're visiting by Joy, is recommended on foot, as the streets do not have enough space to park vehicles.
