Mary Help of Christians Church (the Iglesia Don Rua)
This elegant Romanesque church is one of the most impressive architectural gems of San Salvador.
This is an extraordinary building that stands colorful stained glass, outdoor gardens and majestic dome 60 meters.
The foundation stone of this temple was placed in 1925 and opened up 1953.
From anywhere in the capital, sudestacable displayed tower 96 meters high topped with a cross, giant surrounded by four clocks from Holland.
This tower houses the carillon that chimes the 40 bells, 5 turners and 35 musical, from Italy. They work with a computer system that handles a wide repertoire of musical pieces, between classical, religious and national.
Similarly stands bronze image of Mary Help with a height of 5.90 quereposa meters above the dome.
Popularly conocida as "Don Rua", was named for the first building to be built was the seminar entitled "International Institute Don Rua", after the first successor of St. John Bosco.
To date, Temple of Mary Help of capital is an icon that sits in the Barrio San Miguelito. Visit and be amazed by every detail impressive.

When driving a vehicle, Boulevard prolongation look Tutunichapa. Then, should take the 23 Calle Poniente (this is the street next to the temple). As a benchmark, this street is adjacent to the Avenida Spain.
You can park your car in front of the temple and has security.

CHURCH and MARY HELP, is the most beautiful parish, I grew up with my religion, always felt at home. Alli we once received our school Masses Mary Help, alli fue mi graduacion, I am proud alumnus and tell them it's my heart church.
