This restaurant is located at the heart of Santa Tecla, Freedom. Yemayá is an establishment that has the philosophy of providing healthy food to its costumers.
The name comes from an African deity goddess of the oceans, fertility, abundance and life.
Since September 2009, Yemayá is known for its vegetarian menu combined with fusion food, whose ingredients are 100% organic and provided by local farmers.
Quinoa Salad is served with seasonal vegetables for US$ 6.50 or if you prefer try the Kiki Salad, that has pineapple, walnuts, apple vinaigrette served with lettuce for US$ 5.75.
Portobello Fest, is a hamburger with a portobello mushroom instead of a beef patty. This hamburger has cashew nuts and it is accompanied by homemade potato salad for US$ 8.75.
If you prefer seafood, enjoy Sea Gratitude, a delicious fish fillet with garlic, cous cous and fresh salad for US$ 10.00.
Indulge your palate with delicious lactose-free smoothies and seasonal fresh fruit with coconut milk or almond from US$ 2.75 and other hot or cold drinks from US$ 2.00.
For dessert, enjoy an exquisite handmade sorbet made with passion fruit, lemon or chocolate for US$ 3.00. There is or also the “House Pie”, made with a delicious macadamia and fruit for US$ 4.00 for slice.
The bar has an extensive wines list. There are also, spirits, cocktails and digestives from US$ 3.50.
Yemayá has an important art exhibit that includes photography, sculptures and paintings that are changed continuously.

To get to Paseo El Carmen:
By car take first find the Municipality of Santa Tecla located on 2nd North Avenue. Drive on 7th north Avenue and turn left at the intersection with 3rd East Street (you will see San Antonio Community Hospital).
You can park your car at the City Hall during business hours (8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p.m.) for $ 0.35 per hour. You can also park at the nearby shopping centers for US$ 1.00.
Paseo El Carmen is located on 1st East Street.
Public transport routes that circulate in the area are: 42 (minibus) and 101-D “Special”. The fare is US$ 0.35.
