Surfo’s Mini Mart
Surfo’s Mini Mart is a convenience store located right on El Tunco. They sell regular groceries and provide shuttle services to various Central American destinations.
They have an important alliance with King Quality and Sol buses, which have nonstop buses to:
- Guatemala (Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala)
- Honduras (Copan, San Pedro Sula and Nicaragua)
- Costa Rica (Liberia and San José)
- Nicaragua (León, Managua, Estelí, Granada and Rivas)
Prices vary, from US$ 25.00 onwards. Also if you stay at Playa El Tunco and want to travel, Surfo’s Mini Mart offers taxi service to several bus terminals with an itinerary designed for groups.
It also works as a internet cafe where you can surf the net for US$ 1.00 an hour.
How to get there:
By car from San Salvador, take the road to Puerto La Libertad, and drive west along the Coastal Highway from El Malecón and continue to 42 Km.
At this point you will the sign directing you towards the area of El Tunco.
It is adjacent to Jaguar Bar and has its own parking.
By bus from Bolivar Park (San Salvador): buses and minibuses depart to El Tunco. You can take Route 102, 107 or 177. The cost is $ 1.50. The trip takes 1 hour and buses leave every twenty minutes from 6 am to 7 pm.
