“Salarrué” National Exhibition Hall

| |

Located on Cuscatlán’s Park north side, The National Exhibition Hall “Salarrué” is a public space for the display of paintings, sculptures and drawing exhibits. Conferences, lectures and a diversity of activities also take place at this hall.

According to historical records, Salvador artist Salvador Salazar Arrué, better known as Salarrué, helped create this hall in the late fifties. Originally, this classic building was connected to the tuberculosis area of the adjacent Hospital Rosales, however, Salarrué carried-out works to modify this structure and avoid any contamination and convert the building into the beautiful National Exhibition Hall.

That is why in 2008 the name “Salarrué” was added

To “The National Exhibition Hall”. Among its ongoing activities are exhibits of the “Artist of the Month” which presents interesting aspects of the life and works of artists that make-up the national collection.
