La Bocana Restaurant
Opened in 1986, La Bocana Restaurant its one of the pioneers in the coastal area of El Tunco and was formerly known as “La Gallina India.” Over the years the menu evolved towards seafood specialties, steaks, poultry, sandwiches and its signature dish of rice with squid, which is black dyed rice (squid ink)
Today is a large two level palm roof ranch with a capacity for 200 people, with a breathtaking view of the emblematic rock at Playa El Tunco.
Where to eat
You may have breakfast from US$ 3.00. There is an extensive menu with seafood specialties like grilled shrimp, garlic or grilled lobster, meats, soups, rice, pastas, seafood cocktails and ceviche at prices varying from US$ 7.00 USD onwards.
It also has a wide range of natural drinks, liquor drinks and beers its bar area where you may enjoy a pleasant evening with friends listening to live music on weekends.

How to get there:
By car from San Salvador, take the road to Puerto La Libertad, and drive west along the Coastal Highway from El Malecón and continue to 42 Km.
At this point you will the sign directing you towards the area of El Tunco.
La Bocana restaurant is located at the end of the main street, and next to the river mouth.
By bus from Bolivar Park (San Salvador): buses and minibuses depart to El Tunco. You can take Route 102, 107 or 177. The cost is $ 1.50. The trip takes 1 hour and buses leave every twenty minutes from 6 am to 7 pm.
