San Marcelino Beach
In the vicinity of the Costa del Sol, La Paz, you can visit San Marcelino Beach.
This beach could be very crowded during holidays, however on a regular day it’s a nice place to visit since there are several dining options specializing in fresh seafood caught by the local fishermen.
One of the most famous is Kenny Mar Restaurant & Bar, who in 2007 won the 2nd place in the Food Festival in Costa del Sol, and who also is a member of the National Tourism Registry (RNT).
Since 1993 this restaurant offers a variety of special dishes that follow traditional coastal gourmet recipes, among them “Luxuries of the Seafood” at US$ 20.00 This delicious dish is made of giant crabs, squid, lobster, fish fillet and shrimp, accompanied by two crisp tortillas.
You’ll also find breakfast at affordable prices from US$ 2.50 to US$ 3.75, and sandwiches from US$ 2.50, seafood dishes from US$ 3.00, US$ 8.00, US$ 13.00 and up.
Among the soft drinks offered is “The Chapuda”, a delicious frozen strawberry daiquiri with orange juice, accompanied by two scoops of ice cream. Prices from US$ 0.60, US$ 1.50, US$ 3.00 , onwards.

If you driving from San Salvador, take the highway to Comalapa International Airport .Follow the signs and turn right at the overpass marked as “Playas” (beaches) continue on the Coastal Highway (CA-2), Jiboa at bridge, take the exit towards Costa del Sol.
To get to San Marcelino follow the signs that will indicate the entrance, the restaurant area and the public beach.
If traveling by bus, board Route “133” in South Terminal (San Marcos, on the outskirts of San Salvador) bound to Zacatecoluca and ask them for a stop at Costa del Sol crossing where you should board bus “193” which takes you to Costa del Sol
