Amatecampo beach belongs to the coastal town of San Luis Talpa, La Paz. This beach is mostly dedicating to private weekend houses, but it is also ideal for a family getaway and a pleasant stay away from the bustle of the city.
It is located in a remote area, however the atmosphere is very pleasant for a family or friend stay. This Beach is also a good place for camping.

Visitors can camp on this beach. Each visitor should carry the proper equipment to stay. This site does not have much infrastructure, so you can negotiate your stay with the locals.
How to get there:
If driving trake the road towards Comalapa International Airport. Just before the Quality Inn Hotel there is a sign indicating the diversion towards the beaches of “La Zunganera” and “El Pimental”. Take the road to the right.
Just a 200 meters from that point turn left towards San Luis Talpa town, which is clearly signed. At that point, follow the signs towards la Zunganera and Amatecampo.
If travelling by bus, take route “138-A” in the South Terminal (municipality of San Marcos) travelling from San Salvador metropolitan area towards San Luis Talpa and Comalapa. Costs US$ 1.25
