Plantains in panela syrup
Ingredients:
• 1 dulce de panela
• 2 cups water
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 3 Plantains
Procedure:
To prepare the syrup, pour water, dulce de panela, and cinnamon and boil in medium heat for 15 minutes or until the mix obtains the right consistency.
Meanwhile cut the plantains lengthwise. Boil them until the are semi soft. Peel the skin and add the syrup
Finally remove from heat and serve. Usually accompanied by chilate to offset the sweetness of the banana.
