Juayúa Town Square

Juayúa meaning: “River of Purple Orchids ” in Nahuatl, enjoys a cool climate. During the rainy season, you may enjoy an enchanting fog that descends from the coffee plantations surrounding the area.

This town is one of the most important along the Route of Flowers. Its popularity is due to the food festivals that take place every weekend at the central park, where families and friends gather to enjoy delicious food.

The central park was remodeled in 1994, and it is the meeting place for local merchants that offer a variety of dishes, from local to international cuisine at affordable prices.

You will also find handicrafts made of clay, wood and seeds. There are textiles dyed with indigo, clothes and objects of all types with various prices.
