Milhoja
Ingredients
1 pound of soft flour
2 ounces of yeast
3 pounds of butter or 1 ½ of margarine
Whipped cream (as filling for the milhoja)
Glazed sugar (to taste)
Dough:
A pinch of salt
sugar to taste
5 eggs
Water
Procedure
First soak the yeast. Place in a bowl with the butter (melted) and add all the liquid ingredients over the yeast.
You must knead the dough until you have a gummy consistency. Flatten using a rolling pin then lightly coat with butter. Fold and pull repeating the process 3 or 4 times.
You should then cover the dough with a small cloth and put on the fridge for at least 6 hours.
For milhoja stretch the dough and cut into small rectangles. Follow these steps for baking and later cover with whipped cream.
Preheat oven to 100 or 150 ° F 15 minutes.
For all of the above bake at 200° F for 30 to 40 minutes, to complete the process for the milhoja just add whipped cream in the middle. Finally glaze with sugar.
