Since 2001, Santa Ana Crafts Market is the place to find colorful and original crafts created by small businesses in Santa Ana.

Within this market you will find 17 shops where you may purchase items like hammocks, dresses, shirts, folk paintings, hats, purses, clay and wood pottery and also key chains created with the national seed. Other options include traditional toys, handmade jewelry made with material like seeds, silver, stone, coconut shells and leather, prices ranging from US$ 1.00 to US$ 50.00.

You may try delicious sweets prepared by their owners, who jealously guard their family recipes, from US$ 0.75.

If you visit “La Ciudad Morena” (The Brunette City), don’t forget to stop at the Crafts Market. A place where you will find not only Salvadoran crafts, but also a welcoming smile from the store attendants and owners.

How to get there:

It is located at South Independence Avenue, behind the West Arts Centre (CAO), close to La Libertad Park and Santa Ana Cathedral.

It has no parking area so we suggest parking in the vicinity of the Cathedral or surrounding streets.

Bus Route:

From San Salvador to Santa Ana take Route 201 (we suggest taking the “special” for just a few cents more) at West Terminal. Ticket cost from US$ 0.85 to US$ 1.35
