Margaritas, pichardines and Menuditos

Ingredients
Ingredients
1 pound of soft flour
½ pound of margarine
2 tablespoons of baking powder
2 eggs
Vanilla
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of water
½ pound of sugar
A pinch of yellow food coloring (to taste)
Procedure
Mix the flour with the baking powder and add a pinch of salt in the process. On a bowl mix the melted butter or margarine, eggs and the vanilla essence. Gradually add more flour and then water for the margaritas. The dough should be pliable.
Knead the dough on a table with a rolling pin, then shape into small size balls. In the process apply dye to the mixture. Flatten, and then mold the edges with your fingers. Apply pineapple jelly at the center of the Margaritas.
In the case of the Pichardines, apply more jelly leaving a thick layer. The Pichardines are adorned with “piteado” or stripes. These stripes are made with the same dough and serve decorative purposes.
With the remaining dough you may prepare Menudito (spares) giving them the shape you prefer. You can flavor them with vanilla or sugar.
Preheat oven to 100 ° F 15 minutes.
When you set the pan, bake at 300 ° F 25 to 30 minutes.
