Located nine kilometers from the town of La Palma, La Posada del Cielo is situated on the highest point of the Miramundo mountain. It is located at a height of 2450 meters above sea level.

How to get there

From San Salvador drive north along “Troncal del Norte road” (4N) towards Apopa, Aguilares, La Palma and San Ignacio.

NOTE: It is necessary to travel on a four-wheel drive vehicle because the road is uneven and slippery when wet.

Once in San Ignacio travel to the diversion known as Rio Chiquito. You must go approximately 8.5 kilometers uphill to reach the detour. At the diversion you will find signs that point the way to Miramundo, which is located at a distance of 3 kilometers.

By Bus:

Route 119 taken at East Terminal (Terminal de Oriente) from San Salvador to La Palma, San Ignacio and Citalá. There is a bus departure every 30 minutes. Ticket cost is US$ 1.25 to US$3.00
