In the menu you will find: snacks, seafood cocktails and soups. Specialties are beef, poultry and seafood; all at affordable prices starting at US$ 3.75, US$ 5.50, US$ 9.00 and up.
If you want to taste exotic eastern El Salvador flavor, try “Bay Pupusas”, made with sea shells and local cheese. The order of 3 pupusas is only US$ 2.75 with a drink included.
There is a bar service with international drinks and cocktails prepared by a professional bartender.

The Joy Fonda has cabin rentals: double occupancy for US$ 30 (with breakfast) or “family size” (for 5 to 7 people) at US$ 35.00 (no breakfast included).
How to get there:
La Fonda de Alegría is located at the end of Golgotha Street and 2nd West Avenue # 7.
If you are driving from San Salvador take the Coastal Highway (CA-2) just as if you where going to Comalapa Airport . Follow the signs that lead to Usulután. After passing the “Puente de Oro” (Golden Bridge) look for the Usulután by-pass which will take you to Santiago de Maria and then to Alegría.
Bus route:
From San Salvador to Usulutan: Route 302. Ticket is US$ 1.50. You should then take Route 348 to travel to Alegría. Cost of ticket is US$0.35 you may board this bus in Santiago de María or Berlin.
