Flakes or Hojaldres

| |

Ingredients:

2 eggs

1 teaspoon of sugar

a pinch of salt

Half cup of milk

1 cup of flour (sift the flour first so it does not turn into a hard mass)

Plenty of oil for deep-frying

Procedure:

Mix the eggs (without separating yolk and whites) with the salt and sugar using a wooden spoon.

Add the milk little by little and then the flour. Mix the remaining ingredients with your hands, if necessary smear some flour on your hands so they won’t stick with the dough.

Roll the dough as thin as possible using a roller (previously floured) over a floured blanket.

Cut in to flakes using a pizza cutter. The size depends on your taste but usually is 20 cm X 30 cm

Deep fry in hot oil.

When you get a golden brown color, remove and place in a bowl. Sprinkle brown sugar or panela honey. You may use regular bee honey as well.
