Tecla Gallery
Paseo del Carmen is a new tourist destination at the historic city of Santa Tecla, Freedom.
Just a few meters from the impressive old church of El Carmen you will find this gallery where you may buy colorful art works such as paintings in acrylic, wood carvings personalized ornaments and accessories made from natural materials like seeds and precious stones.
You will also find various pieces of handicrafts from the renowned town of La Palma, Chalatenango and colorful textiles and products such as incense, among others.
This family run business has the idea of creating original products and caring about the environment at the same time. The price range of their products varies from US$ 1.00 up to a thousand dollars.

To get to Paseo El Carmen:
By car take first find the Municipality of Santa Tecla located on 2nd North Avenue. Drive on 7th north Avenue and turn left at the intersection with 3rd East Street (you will see San Antonio Community Hospital).
You can park your car at the City Hall during business hours (8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p.m.) for $ 0.35 per hour. You can also park at the nearby shopping centers for US$ 1.00.
Paseo El Carmen is located on 1st East Street.
Public transport routes that circulate in the area are: 42 (minibus) and 101-D “Special”. The fare is US$ 0.35.
