With over 35 years of experience, Tin Cafeteria is an icon as one of the traditional bakeries of Santa Tecla that pleases its costumers with local pastry at affordable prices.
In1975, Isabel and José Sanchez started this bakery that has expanded its menu preparing treats that follow family recipes.
They also offer natural fruit drinks including melon, watermelon, sapodilla (local fruit), papaya and others for US$ 2.50 or try a tropical fruit bowl for US$ 3.00.
It you like you may have a cup of black coffee or hot chocolate with delicious desserts like 3 milks, apple, lemon or fig pie, from US$ 1.50.
They have fast food like fried or boiled yucca from US$ 2.50. During the afternoon they sell original Salvadoran sweets like nuégados with chilate for US$ 3.50, milk or beans pies for US$ 0.75 or tasty pupusas for US$ 0.70 each.

To get to Paseo El Carmen:
By car take first find the Municipality of Santa Tecla located on 2nd North Avenue. Drive on 7th north Avenue and turn left at the intersection with 3rd East Street (you will see San Antonio Community Hospital).
You can park your car at the City Hall during business hours (8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p.m.) for $ 0.35 per hour. You can also park at the nearby shopping centers for US$ 1.00.
Paseo El Carmen is located on 1st East Street.
Public transport routes that circulate in the area are: 42 (minibus) and 101-D “Special”. The fare is US$ 0.35.
