2012 Income Statement
This day, the Minister of Tourism, Mr. To Jose Napoleon Duarte Duran, along with leaders of the Salvadoran Institute of Tourism (JUSTICE) presented the income statement in the tourist industry in 2012 and the strategy implemented to achieve these results. The Minister emphasized the growth of visits to our country by 27%, this percentage focused on the influx of people to national parks, among which stand out Amapulapa, Balboa Park, Apulo Ichanmichen and Sihuatehuacán, who received more than 3 million visits. Also pointed out that the Salvadorans abroad meant this year, 23% of travelers who arrived in the country. Among the expectations for the year ahead, mentioned a proposed Tourism Act, which already is working with the appropriate legal counsel to present as soon as possible.
